The North Staffs Heart Committee is the leading
local heart charity for North Staffordshire. Founded in 1979, to date
it has raised over £4 million supporting research, diagnosis,
treatment and welfare.
The organisation is an independent charity serving the interests of
cardiac patients residing or receiving treatment in North
Staffordshire and is NOT associated with any other national or local
charity of similar name.
The charity is administered by five lay volunteers, whose names appear
on the Officers page. Support and advice is
given by our four medical consultant members, Director of
Cardiac Services, Dr J Creamer and Dr J Lewis representing cardiology,
Mr C. Smallpeice representing cardiothoracic surgery and Professor J E
Sanderson covering cardiac research.
For us to continue to provide the additional
latest and state of the art equipment and services we require financial support from the
general public. This is often given in the form of a donation in memoriam, bequests,
donation from grateful patients and their friends or by straight forward donations from
people and organisations who wish to help us to continue with our work.
If
you have supported us in the past, we sincerely thank you for that support.
If you or your organisation have not, then I would ask you to reflect on what has been
written above and consider whether you are able to help in some way now or in
the future.
Please remember that we are a LOCAL charity dealing with the very
serious problem of heart disease here in North Staffordshire either by
prevention, diagnosis treatment or welfare.
