Everyone knows someone who has been affected by heart disease. It claims the lives of
millions of people worldwide every year. It affects young people as well as old people
but, thanks to heart research and improving techniques, there are many people alive today
who previously would have not survived. A heart
by-pass operation or pacemaker can completely transform the life of someone previously
unable to live a normal active life. Not only does it improve the patient's quality of
life, it restores them to their families as the active people they once were.
So, although it is a killer, heart disease does not always
win! You can help ensure that many more LOCAL people survive by supporting the work of the
North Staffs Heart Committee.
We have now raised well over £4 Million to improve
cardiac patient care in North Staffordshire. Please help us to raise more!
